  • Who We Are

Common Sense Systems is a handful of experienced and capable people who enjoy working together and serving our customers.  While we focus a lot on software, it's not the only thing we do.  We also work on process improvement problems and occasionally provide education and training in an improvement methodology known as the Theory of Constraints (TOC).

Common Sense Systems was founded in February, 1996 by John Sambrook.  Today, Stacey, Laura, Michelle and Fred also work with John in the business.  When it's appropriate to do so, we also partner with other service providers.

As you might expect from a small company, we are willing and able to tailor our services to the needs of our customers.  There are limits to our capabilities, of course, and we won't accept an assignment unless we are convinced of our ability to do good work completing it.

Our business office is located in Woodinville, Washington, USA. All the contact information a person could possibly need is available from our Contact page.

  • Our Commitment To You

We take pride in our company's reputation.  We work professionally and with integrity by:

  1. Delivering on our commitments competently and conscientiously
  2. Working in a cost-effective and time-sensitive manner
  3. Working effectively and amicably with your existing team members
  4. Respecting our clients' intellectual property and asking that they respect ours
  5. Ensuring that we have the capacity to complete the work we agree to perform

Recommendations

"Ten years ago, I brought John Sambrook onto a risky and highly political project that had far-reaching consequences within our company.  As the second member of the team, me being the first, John found solutions to difficult problems, problems I could not have solved without him, averting project failure over and over again.  He produced code and documentation at a professional level I have rarely seen in my thirty years of software engineering.  The project was so successful that the team was spun off as its own company, which now employs more than 700 people."  (Bob Alexander, SonoSite Inc.)
