Theory of Constraints Resources
It used to be difficult to find resources on TOC. Heck, I often write that "the Theory of Constraints is the most powerful improvement methodology that you're probably never heard of." It's true.
Even though resources are plentiful, I thought I'd take a few minutes and provide some links to the really good stuff. I know I'm missing folks, so if your information is not here, just contact me and let me add it for you. (But your material has to be really good.)
- Of course there is a Wikipedia Entry for Theory of Constraints.
- Dr. Kelvyn Youngmans has the best introduction to TOC that you are likely to find on the web.
- Here's a video on TOC with Dr. Eliyahu ("Eli") Goldratt. By the way, Eli is pronounced as "Elly" and not "Ely."
- There is a collection of TOC success stories that you can browse.
- Dr. Lisa Lang has very good information on sales and unrefusable ("Mafia") offers at Science of Business.
- If you need more sales, talk to Justin Roff-Marsh at Ballistix. His white papers are worth their weight in gold.
- Anyone involved in education should check out TOC For Education. More than 500,000 children have been taught the basic TOC tools. So please don't tell me they are "too complicated."
- TOCICO is the "Theory of Constraints International Certification Organization". If you grep around on that site you should be able to find my (John Sambrook) certification information.
- Dr. James Holt has taught TOC to everyone in the Pacific Northwest, or at least, that's what it seems like. I received my Jonah training from him (and a lot of self-study before that. Some people follow the Grateful Dead. I follow Eli Goldratt.)
- TRIZ Video
- Eli's video invitation to "Come to Japan"
